Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for academic programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the university’s mission and vision.
• Oversee the development and review of academic curricula, ensuring relevance, currency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support the professional development of faculty members through mentorship, training programs, and opportunities for research and scholarly activities.
• Promote student success and retention through effective support services, academic advising, and initiatives to enhance the student learning experience.
• Foster a culture of research and innovation within the university, supporting faculty research projects, collaborations, and grant proposals.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of academic programs through regular assessment, accreditation processes, and adherence to academic standards.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans and initiatives to enhance the university’s reputation, rankings, and institutional effectiveness.
• Manage financial resources allocated to academic departments and programs, ensuring prudent fiscal management and alignment with strategic priorities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A doctoral degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 10 years of academic experience, including significant experience in academic leadership roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, faculty development, and academic program assessment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
