Charter, Reputation

HU has been granted the Charter by the Government of Punjab and its degrees are fully recognized by the Higher Education Commission(HEC) of Pakistan. HU is ranked among the handful of prestigious "W Category" Universities by the HEC. "W Category" is the highest and most prestigious ranking among Pakistani Universities. This means that our degrees are recognized locally, nationally, and internationally which is why a degree from HU is a real investment in your future. The University establishes strategies, policies, and procedures to support the University's vision and core strategic aims promoting consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness of operations throughout. The University Board of Governors is charged with oversight of the governance, assurance, and compliance structures of the University and to ensure the integrity of the conduct of its affairs.

It has responsibility for the following:

- Ensure that the University exhibits best practices in all areas of corporate governance.

- The efficient servicing of the University Council & Associate Committees.

- Leading and coordinating the Council’s role in communication and stakeholder management.

- The provision of advice to members of the University on legislative compliance.

- Annual review of the University Statutes, Ordinances, and Regulations.

- Maintaining University-wide policies, procedures ad regulations.

- Managing student/staff complaints, grievances, and appeals to Council, and to the visitor.
