Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and Hajvery University (HU) sign MoU of Educational Cooperation & Scientific Research.

Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and Hajvery University (HU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to broaden the capacity of Educational Cooperation & Scientific Research between HU and ITU in the fields of Engineering: Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering.

ITU is one of the most prominent educational institutions in Turkey. ITU is ranked 108th worldwide and 1st ITU1-220x300nationwide in the field of engineering/technology by THES – QS World University Rankings in 2009.

Themes of joint activities under the MoU include: Exchange programs for Undergrad and Grad students, Exchange of Faculty and Research Scholars, Joint Conferences and Research activities, and several other areas to broaden the capacity of Co-operation between the two esteemed Institutions.

The Memorandum was signed in Istanbul, Turkey by Rector ITU Prof. Dr. Muhammed Sahin and in Lahore, Pakistan by Chairman Board of Governors of HU, Mr. Atif Sheikh.

International Offices’ of HU and ITU played a pivotal role in establishing this strategic alliance. Mr. Umer Sheikh, Associate Director, HU Office of Foreign Affairs & Planning and Head of ITU International Office Ms. Defne Korur, along with Mr Mehmet F Unal had an initial meeting at ITU campus in Istanbul, Turkey to explore the avenues institutional linkages between HU & ITU.

Under this MoU, the scope of joint activities include Exchange programs for Undergrad and Graduate Engineering students, Exchange of Engineering Faculty and Research Scholars, Joint Conferences and Research activities, Exchange of Scientific materials and information and several other areas to broaden the capacity of Co-operation between ITU and HU.
