Hajvery University (HU) organised International Symposium on Social Entrepreneurship (ISSE) on the 7th October 13. The main purpose of International Symposium on Social Entrepreneurship was to spread awareness amongst the students about the Big Idea of Social Entrepreneurship and to encourage students to step ahead with Innovative solutions to tackle major social problems.
Students were encouraged to get involved in community development and Social Entrepreneurship. They were urged to look out for people in need, and work out ways to help them. Rather than leaving societal needs to the Government, the students were urged to get involved at solving their problems and changing the system for the betterment of Society.
Prominent keynote speakers were: Ms Farida Tariq, Founder of Wasil Foundation, Mr Syed Saquib Mohyuddin, CEO SME-BSF, Mr. Farrukh Khan, CEO of the Acumen Fund, Ms Farrah Khan, CEO of the Citizen Commission on Human Development, Dr. Faisal Sultan, CEO Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre.
More than 350 students attended the International Symposium Social Entrepreneurship.
