The programme has been designed to meet the requirements of a wide range of applicants including
those:
- Involved in quality improvement programmes
- Requiring new tools, methods, and techniques for day to day problem solving such as waste
- minimisation.
- In charge of quality management projects such as ISO certification.
- Responsible for the setting up of TQM initiatives such as Quality Circles.
The aim of the Programme is to enable those employed in a specific quality management role or other technical discipline to make a more effective contribution to their organisation, particularly in the field of continuous improvement of processes.
The main objective of the Programme is to provide students with quality, organisational and people management skills and techniques to enable them to make a significant contribution to an organisation’s quality policy.

Internships:
Internships are considered as very important part of the program, therefore 10 weeks internship has been made mandatory of every student enrolled in M.Sc. Total Quality Management HU students have the chance to do internships in leading national and international companies, providing them with a combination of theoretical and practical knowledge of their field’s professional world and thus increasing their appeal from a recruitment perspective. Most of the HU students are also able to secure a job in the company during their internships.
HU students are easily identified by their managerial, entrepreneurial and out of the box approach during their internship programs. During your time at HU our qualified professionals will teach you how to deal with the employment process, write an attractive CV or deal with a job interview. Communication skills including non-verbal communication is also very important and cannot be left behind. In a nutshell, we will put in your hands every tool necessary to improve and groom your natural skills and help you have a kick start in the job market.
Students first apply for the placement and then they are assessed by their school or faculty before they can undertake an internship. Students are supervised by their university professors and by a representative from the firm offering the internship, which is responsible for their progress. Placements are normally scheduled both during the program and the summer vacation.
Personal and Professional Skills
Nowadays, companies require certain personal and professional skills and abilities of their employees with which they can successfully accomplish their work. At HU Business School we encourage our students to learn how to work as part of a team, to practice negotiation skills, to develop their writing and speaking skills and to know how to lead people and projects. The development of these skills is integrated as part of the curriculum.
