Television, Film, Advertising and other media are central to all aspects of contemporary society. By studying them you can gain insight into how we communicate, represent and reflect on ourselves and our world.

You can study all forms of media, including film, television, the internet, music video and digital media. You can examine aesthetics, content, audiences, social context, technology and production.  Our scope is international, but we have a strong focus on media in South East Asia.


TELEVISION, ADVERTISING AND MEDIA STUDIES AND YOUR CAREER

Television, Advertising and Media Studies is useful for careers in business, politics, television, print media or the cultural sector. Our graduates will have careers in film and television production and distribution, advertising, broadcasting, marketing, public relations, curating, archiving, editing, publishing, journalism and reviewing. They work in other forms of media writing, public policy, funding and regulatory bodies, web-based activities and teaching.

Internships

Internships are considered as very important part of the program, therefore 10 weeks internship has been made mandatory of every student enrolled in B.Sc.(Hons.) Film, TV, Advertising & Media Studies. HU students have the chance to do internships in leading national and international companies, providing them with a combination of theoretical and practical knowledge of their field’s professional world and thus increasing their appeal from a recruitment perspective. Most of the HU students are also able to secure a job in the company during their internships.
