Seminar on “Film Production” by AGHA HASSAN ASKARI at Hajvery University
21.05.2012. Mr. Agha Hassan Askari, one of the best Directors of Pakistan’s Film Industry, delivered Guest Lectures to Hajvery University, Media Studies Students on 3 and 4 May, 2012. The purpose of such interactive workshops is to give the Media Studies students – the future of Pakistan’s Film industry, an insight into the industry, its pre- and post-production processes, cinematography, casting, music, script writing, producing, and all other facets of successful film making in Pakistan.
Mr. Hassan Askari during the two day session discussed about the filmmaking processes and techniques. He talked about script writing and how to bring it to life through visual media, and shared examples of his own personal experiences with students, which allowed the young scholars of HU to relate what they learn in classroom to the actual processes.
HU Media Studies Lect. and Producer Mr. Ali Sajjad, arranged the interactive sessions for the students. Mr. Hassan Askari has won the National Film Award twice by giving remarkable movies to the industry, to-date he has made over 60 movies, some of his box-office hits include: Tufaan, Khoon Paseena, Salakhain, Aag, Kenara, Teray Pyar mein etc.
