26.06.2012. Investigative journalism is a form of journalism. The  basic aim and focus of an investigative journalist is to reveal crime, corruption or wrongdoing. For that sake, the investigative journalist has to consume a lot of time in order to find out the true and authentic information and facts. He/She utilizes multiple strategies and tools to unfold the hidden realities e.g. analysis of documents, tax records, government reports etc. American Investigative Journalists are playing their part in revealing these veiled and concealed stories of the world. It also has an intense impact worldwide resulting in an improvement in the lives of the millions of people not only in the United States but throughout the world.

Realizing the significance of investigative journalism; Hajvery University (HU) organized a seminar on it on Thursday, 17th May 2012 for HU Media Studies students. Ms. Brinille Eliane Ellis was the Guest Speaker. She is a U.S. Department of State Foreign Service Officer and she is also presently serving as the Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Lahore. The basic intention was to create awareness amongst the young students. The young scholars had profound interest in understanding such a serious and wide concept. Even they were greatly eager to know that how they can utilize their knowledge and skills to implement the concept of investigative journalism in their own society. They were enormously motivated to purify their society by eradicating all social and moral evils.

HU has a tradition of providing multiple opportunities to its excited and enthusiastic learners so they can show up their potential and they always fully utilize them. Students of HU maintained their attention and curiosity throughout the seminar. At the end, there was a questioning session. Students were fervent to ask questions. They inquired about Investigative Journalism from the guest speaker and also gave their willingness to play their role in transforming their

Adnan Abdul Khaliq,

12 Sept, 2011. Adnan Abdul Khaliq is pursuing Telecom Engineering at Hajvery University. HU awarded scholarship to Adnan for a Study Abroad Semester at Fontys University, Netherlands. The Scholarship included Return Air Ticket, Comprehensive Insurance, and 5000 Euros Stipend Money for daily expenses among other things.

HU Debating Competit

HU organized Debating Competition 2010 in two languages, English and Urdu, on October 21, 2010. After much anticipation, excitement and preparation Thirty students from all 6 Faculties, brought their scripts to life

Annual meeting of Bo

The Deans of different Faculties at HU gave a short presentation to the Board Members on the progress of their respective Faculties and Research output. The Board Members presented new recommendations for improvements. The meeting concluded with a Lunch reception on Campus.

Saad Azhar, Hajvery

3 Nov, 2011. Saad Azhar is currently pursuing Bachelors in Electronic Engineering at Hajvery University (HU). He was awarded a scholarship to Study Abroad for 1 semester at Sabanci University, Istanbul, Turkey. The scholarship included Return AirTicket, Comprehensive Insurance, and 5000 Euros Stipend Money for daily expenses among other things. The following essay is written by him, which presents a glimpse of his Experience of Studying and Living Abroad in the mesmerising city of Istanbul.

12 July, 2011. Humza Butt is pursuing BBA (Hons) at Hajvery University (HU). He was awarded a scholarship to Study Abroad for 1 semester at University of Flensburg, Germany. The following essay is written by him, which presents a glimpse of his Experience of Studying and Living Abroad in Europe: ‘During my exchange semester I travelled around different European countries such as Denmark, Sweden, Rome, Milan and Venice-Italy, Paris-France, Geneva, Bern and Zurich-Switzerland, Liechtenstein, feldkirch and Innsbruck in Austria and Hamburg, Frankfurt, Bremen, Kiel Berlin and Lubeck-Germany and a trip to Dubai on my way back!’

It’s always a race against time to service 1200+ people at one time, there must be 100+ people servicing them, and we are all running around distributing roti, pani, saalin & meetha among our guests. 10 years down the road, the sight of all these people sitting having iftari with us amazes us each time..
