Hajvery University (HU) Lahore, Pakistan and Ozyegin University (OZU), Istanbul, Turkey sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of Educational scientific cooperation.

Hajvery University (HU), Lahore, Pakistan inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Özyeğin University, Istanbul, Turkey .  OzU is among the best universities of Turkey, and it’s centrally located in Istanbul, Turkey. This MoU further expands the International Relations of HU with reputable universities in the world. Students and Faculty members of HU can greatly benefit from the opportunities available under this MoU.

Opportunities available under  the MoU:

For Students:

Exchange Program: HU Students of Business Management, and Engineering  can opt for an academic semester at Özyeğin University, Istanbul, Turkey, and vice versa. HU students will be exempt from paying tuition fees to OzU. The credits earned at OzU will be transferred toward your current degree at Hajvery University (HU).

Study Tour: Study Tour is a 2-week intensive academic trip. It encompasses lectures at OzU, city tours  of Istanbul to learn about its culture and history, and academic tours of Industry and Economy of Istanbul, Turkey.  Study Tours are conducted in Groups, therefore interested students   should group together and apply for this opportunity. Students will be exempt from paying tuition fees.

Summer Program: Özyeğin University Summer Program is similar to Study Tour, with one main difference Students can apply, and go individually, whereas in Study Tour there must be a group of students from HU.

Research: Students interested to collaborate for joint research with students of OzU, should consult their Faculty Heads, or Deans about their areas of interest. Students from can undertake joint research on common  grounds.

For Faculty Members & Staff:

Academic Staff Exchange: Faculty and Staff at HU can opt for Academic Staff Exchange for 1 semester at OzU. Academic Staff can undertake teaching, research or both at OzU for a semester.

Joint Research/Joint Authorship:: Faculty members may collaborate with researchers at OzU on mutual grounds for the purpose of knowledge sharing and  joint authorship of research material.

International Conferences: Academia from both esteemed institutions can combine their efforts to arrange International Conferences.  Subject to mutual consent, Video conferencing, or  pre-recorded video for the purpose of seminar only, can also be used as a medium to communicate at joint International conferences.

Mr. Umer Sheikh, Associate Director, HU Office of Foreign Affairs & Planning and Ms. Anjariitta Rantanen, Director, International Office,  had an initial meeting at Özyeğin University (OzU) campus in Istanbul, Turkey to explore the avenues institutional linkages between HU & OzU. This MoU signifies another milestone by HU Office of Foreign Affairs & Planning to strengthen cooperation with leading Turkish Higher Education institutions.

In the coming weeks, HU will arrange workshops for students interested in Exchange Programs, so that students are aware of the opportunities available to them.
