Dr. Naeem Afridi did his Masters and Ph.D from USA with Award of Excellence and Certification of Distinction. An engineering graduate B.Sc., B.E (Communication) from UET, Lahore. He was head of the Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering Departments at College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering College, Rawalpindi. He has served as a Brigadier in Pakistan Army in the Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering for over 30 years and retired as Director of Projects Ministry of Defence at Military Vehicle Research and Development Establishment (MVRDE). 

He established Data Automation Center and Education Television System at Command and Staff College, Quetta and Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT). Pioneered Islamic International Engineering College, Islamabad (now Ripha University). He has a national as well as international stature being the Chairman Communication Experts Society®.

Dean's Message

Faculty of Engineering is well established with state of the art facilities and dedicated teachers.We have excellent teaching facilities with modern lecture theatres, dedicated computer suites and well equipped teaching laboratories. Our laboratories include clean rooms and excellent fixtures. As a Student you will benefit from our strong linkage with industry. The industrial Advisory Group is the forum where industry tells the Faculty of its vision for the future and offers guidance on the knowledge and skills that industry will expect of the best graduates in four years time.

  Through our annual review we are able to offer programmes of study that produce graduates prized by the industry. We not only provide excellent opportunities to our students but also provide a forum for Research. The great breadth and depth of research interests of the academic staff ensures a high standard of lecture courses and provide challenging and stimulating final year project.

Head, Faculty of Engineering

Prof. Dr. Manzar Saeed is Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology (UET) and has over 30 years of teaching and research experience within Pakistan and abroad. He is also the author of the book “Electronic Devices and Circuits” and has published many research papers in various national and international journals of repute. Currently he is engaged as Head of Department in Hajvery University and is actively involved with the development of Department.

His textbook was awarded with first prize by “National Book Foundation”, Islamabad. The combined material of his two books will be published by Prentice-Hall of USA in the year 2011. The research papers published by him have a practical touch and a few are being used in the industry as well. He also designed a “Flasher Unit” for Suzuki Motors and his design is used by PECS industries, Lahore for mass production.

HOD's Message

HU is a leading University in Pakistan offering Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees in Electronics Engineering and Telecommunication Engineering and I am proud to be a part of this institution. With my 30 years teaching and research experience I feel I can provide proper guidance to my students at HU that will be of immense substance to them in field.

Graduates with practical background are given better opportunities in field. My vision is to encourage imparting practical knowledge with adequate theoretical background so that the HU graduates excel in field by becoming a useful part of the society.

Head, Faculty of Computer Science

Dr. Malik Muhammad Arif Rafiq author of two books and more than 150 research papers in renowned international journals.

He has successfully pursued his research career in Mathematics. He has produced more than 150 research articles, mostly published in renowned International Journals. His fields of interest include, Fixed Point theory, Numerical solutions methods for nonlinear equations, ODE’s and PDE’s and Mathematical Inequalities. During 19 years of teaching and research career, he has taught Mathematics and related fields to under-graduate and graduate levels in major Institutions of Pakistan.

Dr. Malik Muhammad Arif Rafiq is currently working as Head of Computer Science Department and Professor of computational Mathematics at Hajvery University, Lahore, Pakistan.

He is also steering the research activities at Hajvery University(HU) and providing guidelines to research scholars.
